We are two optometrists based in Melbourne, Australia. We started as eyewear enthusiasts who were concerned about the growing waste in our industry. We wanted to find eyewear that not only look good but are durable, affordable and gentle on the environment. Nothing we found ticked all our boxes. That's what drove us to create Mari & Clay.
The name Mari & Clay is inspired by ocean and earth. “Mari”, like the word marine, and “Clay”, originating from earth. It's a gentle nod of appreciation to the Australian surf and bush.
We hope Mari & Clay sunglasses bring you confidence and comfort wherever your day takes you.
